Inspired by the work of his friend Frances Elkins, Tony Duquette loved the use of coral and coral patterns in his work. He used real coral for jewelry and tabletop decorations, and used in abundance faux coral that was made for him in southeast Asia out of painted raffia. Coral-patterned carpets and upholstery fabrics were used in many of his interior design projects around the world. Our printed wallpaper translates the graphic ‘Pacific Coral’ linen print, which was adapted from one of Duquette’s carpets, in a new scaled-down version for the wall. Screen printed with metallic and matte inks on a beautifully textured ground, the palette of natural, sea-inspired shades will complement both modern and traditional rooms.
