The Thirties were the turning point from Art Deco towards Modernism. The accent was placed on harmonious shapes and the use of new materials such as metal and glass.Inspired by this period, Casamance explores two-coloured geometric patterns based on interlocking quarter-circles and clean lines. The use of metallic lacquer to create volume and tone-on-tone planes of colour add a touch of sophistication to the design. This is accentuated by the fibres in the texture of the paper.
