Tony Duquette used a classic valance all around the drawing room of ‘The Porcelain Pavilion’, his house in Paris. This pattern occurs many times over in Duquette’s work, whether rendered in paint or as fabric dipped in plaster. Our updated version features the same scalloped-edge valance design, composed of linen with embroidered edges and scaled down just a bit for use as trimming for draperies, chair and sofa skirts, or even the edges of book cases.
