This pattern is adapted from an original cabinet by Tony Duquette, which first was exhibited at the Louvre and now decorates the balcony at Dawnridge, Duquette’s amazing Beverly Hills estate. The original piece features 18th century French embroideries that are set in panels behind glass which Duquette reverse painted to form the doors, sides and tambour front. The graceful vine pattern of the cabinet’s embroidery is now translated in mix of silky, matte and twisted metallic threads that are stitched against a linen blend ground. The natural flax and soft blush pink hues add to its updated but still unabashedly pretty look, making it perfect for floor length curtains.
