Palampore is an Indian Tree of Life gravure printed wallpaper design inspired by a document fragment that dates from between 1730-70. The trailing design depicts a personal journey through life symbolised by elaborate and mystical flowers sprouting from a tree trunk. The original design was very finely printed using many wood-blocks and the delicacy of the pattern has been captured in this contemporary interpretation.
