This was the design that first ignited our interest in the Edwardian architect and textile designer C.F.A.Voysey. Originally named Ballard Tapestry the 'millefleurs' in the background conjured up The Lady & The Unicorn tapestries in the Cluny museum in Paris, so we decided to turn one of the deer into a unicorn. The V&A felt he would have approved.
