Tony Duquette loved tortoiseshell and one of his prized possessions was an albino tortoiseshell which always had pride of place in all of Duquette’s houses, traveling with him as he seasonally moved in what he called ‘royal progress’ from Beverly Hills and Malibu to San Francisco and back again. Tony’s love of nature and all of its patterns and colors, which he called “natural baroque”, is the inspiration for our new Tortoiseshell wallpaper. Printed in a design that resembles bookmatched inlay, it is finished with a lacquer-like gloss surface, in a palette that ranges from pale bone to deep cognac and emerald shades.
